It was only minutes after seeing the mediocre film Starsky & Hutch that I purchased some food and was handed a one dollar bill. But there was something special about this one dollar bill. It had been stamped with the phrase WheresGeorge.com.
This is a great idea for a site. People stamp their bills with the Where’s George dot com logo, log into the system where they spent it, then every person who picks it up and logs it after them creates a kind of tracking map for the bill. Every time your bill is logged by someone else, you get an e-mail telling you where your dollar bill is. Mine came from a New Yorker who brought it on a trip to L.A. a week or so ago, and I am now the second person. I will spend it, and see what happens next.
Pretty damn cool. Check it out.
