What is the eleven switch factor?
Despite the fact that the number eleven is a pretty funny number, it also represents the amount of times I often like to flip a light switch up and down before settling in for the night. Some people find it crazy, other people consider it an O.C.D. — but more often than not people just wonder why it takes eleven flips of the switch to quell my inner-switcherdom.
That’s what today’s post is all about.

If only we could eat doughnuts today.
Just like offices all around the country make Friday “dress down” or “casual Friday” events, wouldn’t it be great if they also served up Fri-ed foods as well? I mean, if you’re wearing jeans or that pullover sweatshirt at the office, doesn’t it seem to make sense that THIS IS THE DAY we should be eating fried chicken, churros, doughnuts, fries, fish & chips and a slew of other fried foods? At least then, the oil wouldn’t get on our professional suits and dresses?
It’s a thought. But not the main one for today.

Here’s to you, DVD Jukebox Filler-Upper.
Here’s to the way you blindly purchase two 400 disc Sony DVD jukeboxes, without doing the research. Here’s to the way you envision a world without DVD boxes, freeing those gleaming discs from their dark, enclosed spaces and putting them into…a larger dark enclosed space. Here’s to how you go out and purchase a PC keyboard (blasphemy for a Mac user) so you can connect it to the DVD jukebox so you can type in 800 different DVD titles for the on-screen menu instead of hunting and pecking on a crappy ‘ol remote… Here’s to a nightmare I can’t wake up from.

Fri-day, Fri-day, Fri-
Fri-day, Fri-day, Fri-day, Fri-
Fri-day, Fri-day, Fri-
I love haikus. And even more than loving haikus in general, I love my Fri-day haiku. People always say it’s tough to do haikus because you have to make sense with a first line that has only 5 syllables, then 7, then 5 for the last one — but I say it’s not tough at all. You just have to take a little time and hunker down and keep your chin up.
Eventually, you’ll triumph like yours truly.
And speaking of triumphs, what a triumph for this week’s “Words For Your Enjoyment” — getting a clever little suggestion from WFME blood-sister (not brother) Heather, who asks: “When you get into bed, do you flip your pillow over to the cold side?”

I am totally not obsessive compulsive.
I am totally not obsessive compulsive. I am totally not obsessive compulsive. I am totally not obsessive compulsive.
Was that three times? Ok, good.
Three isn’t an even number and you can’t ever say anything in fours, cause it just doesn’t have the rhythm. In fact, they say that most things in the world go in threes, and it just feels right so, we have to keep to that strict guideline.
