It was a chain of events that no one saw coming.
On August 9th, a post was written about Lucky Charms and Janet left a comment. On August 10th, WFME readers voted to evict commenters from the previous day’s post in what was to be a groundbreaking event for blogs worldwide. And when the votes were tallied at Midnight PST that day, Janet was evicted and booted from WFME — leaving her banned from commenting on this blog until September 1st.
This morning, we sit down with WFME’s first lady of leaving… WFME’s booted banterer… WFME’s kicked-off commenter, Janet — and see just how things look this morning from the other side of the domain.

It seems like everywhere you look, someone’s being voted off some television show.
Whether it’s Last Comic Standing or Big Brother All Stars or Survivor — there’s always someone getting kicked to the curb under the guise of intriguing, engaging entertainment. And it got me to thinking that isn’t WFME all about entertainment? Don’t you come here to take a break from the daily stress of work and life and family and have a few laughs? Isn’t that why we’re all here?
That’s why today…we will vote out one of our own.

No, this isn’t a post about Lost.
Instead, today’s post will serve to announce that my still-new book The Lost Blogs has done so well out there in the real world that it looks as if we’ll be moving into the land of “Second Printing.” Which is a good thing. Which makes me happy. Which makes me want to give away free First Edition signed copies of the book.
So today, for your enjoyment, that’s just what we’re going to do. But with a twist.
But instead of sending you off on a scavenger hunt throughout the Blogosphere and instead of asking you to be the first person to be lightning-quick e-mailer amaze-a-tron, I will instead ask you to read the following paragraph:

Congratulations to Sarcomical for winning yesterday’s Abe & Me contest by submitting the most eerie-looking photoshopped picture of her and Abe Lincoln.
I mean, it’s the kind of picture that is going to give me nightmares.
Nonetheless, she’ll be snagging a signed copy of The Lost Blogs for her freaky artistic talents.

It was twenty-five years in the making.
On May 8th, 1981 I found myself watching Saturday morning cartoons and had just finished eating three bowls of Lucky Charms. My bladder was full and so I went into the bathroom to take care of some business. While there, I slipped and fell on a puddle, slamming my head into the sink fixture and blacking out. When I came to, I was overwhelmed with an idea to invent a way for the world to communicate by words electronically. It would later be called an Internet weblog.
But since I never really followed through on that idea, my new book The Lost Blogs will have to do instead.
