Aaah, Friday.
Is it strange that after so many Fridays over the course of our lives, this Friday is just as exciting as all the rest? Is it weird that while every other single item in our lives that repeats over and over again (another cookie, a birthday, lunchtime, the dentist, et al) gets old and boring and before long we can’t bear to experience it any longer — Friday continues to be just as exciting every single time?
It’s sort of like “Words For Your Enjoyment” — fresh, exciting, filled with 94% of all those extra vitamins and minerals you look for in starting off your weekend… And this week, is of course, no different.

Words For My Enjoyment is proud to be a brand-new member of the 9rules Network.
Before I tell you what 9 rules is, I’m going to tell you what it isn’t. It’s not a network that actually requires you to follow nine rules (they make you follow 45). It’s not a network that contains only German blogs who consistenly answer all of your questions with the word “Nein.” It’s not a misspelled network name for a network that gives out nine rulers a day, and it’s definitely not sponsored by the number “9″. (Numbers can’t sponsor networks, by the way. It’s a rule.)
So, what is the 9rules Network?

Welcome to the new and improved Words For My Enjoyment.
I could sit here and talk about the long journey and the sleepless nights and the fact that I’m now addicted to a variety of non-drug related items that are all a part of the U.S. Government’s food pyramid but which really, isn’t that healthy for me anyway… But I won’t.
Instead, I want to throw a big huge thank you out to Erik Sagen, the man behind the mask, the soul behind the show, the doctor behind the docs, and the talented designer who helped me get this baby up and running. If this was The Oscars©, well, I probably wouldn’t forget his name, is all.

If you don’t know what the E3 Expo is, then you probably don’t play, read about, or obsess over video games.
Happening between May 17th and the 20th here at the Los Angeles Convention Center, video game publishers show off what’s coming — sort of like a coming out party for debutants. This year will be pretty damn sweet as Sony will be showing off the Playstation 3, Microsoft will be showing off the XBOX 360, and other publishers will be parading video games for every possible console and handheld device on the face of the Earth.
It is a week of seizure-inducing goodness.

Aaah, the kitchen sink.
You know, there used to be a pizza they used to call the “kitchen sink” and they’d throw absolutely everything on that pizza from beef to olives to pocket lint and when all was said and done, well, you’d feel pretty damn sick.
Almost as sick as I thought I felt last night when I picked up an Italian Chicken Chopped Salad from a place here in Los Angeles called Il Trezzamino. Normally, great food — this salad had something deathly wrong with it. For when I would take a bite I would not only taste the normal flavor but something so noxious I had to spit it out onto the plate. I immediately called the restaurant who had this wonderfully consoling conversation with me:
