Consumer Joe Lives On
May 22nd, 2008
Just when you thought people stopped talking about your books, you’re proven wrong.
Here’s an interesting blog post over at the Official Southwest Airlines blog about their experience trading letters with one David Paulson.

The comment thread to that post is quite interesting, in that it went from honey-roasted vs. salted peanuts to peanut allergies and How The Airline Should Handle That.
Hi PaulyD!

And let me take this comment thread off track as well. Where did all these peanut allergies come from? Growing up not a single child in school (from K through 12) had an allergy to peanuts. Niether did we ever hear parents discussing Joey’s or Janie’s allergies to nuts — or lactose intolerance or reactions to wheat, soy, enriched flour or yeast for that matter. Everyone had pbj sandwiches all the time and no one was isolated for either having it or not be able to be near it. How did we get from a school house staple to discussions on how airlines should deal with peanut allergies? And it can’t all be blamed on Global Warming or George W Bush.

wow. I didn’t realize Southwest Airlines had a blog. Just add that to the ever growing list of blogs that I don’t have time to read.
