- RHIPWMES: Really, honestly — I’m pleased with my emotional state.
- IYWHRNYSML: If you were here right now, you’d see me laughing.
- LIDLIJDNEOTIIMBDTTFTAACIHAPWSOBTLOOMALTTRITIDL: Look, I don’t laugh. I just don’t. Not even on the inside. It might be due to the fact that as a child, I had abusive parents who sort of beat the laughter out of me. At least that’s the reason I think I don’t laugh.

I think it’s high time someone addressed this problem. Who is really “Laughing Out Loud” when they type LOL? It’s more like, FSBITIWABIHTLAACSWYAIABBYAAUL (Faintly Smiling Because I Think It Was Amusing But It’s Hard To Laugh At A Computer Screen When You Are In A Basement By Yourself Alone And Unloved)
Because in my book, anyone who takes the words out of letters deserves to be unloved. If LOL is still being used another ten years from now, we’ll know that mankind has officially stopped progressing. Can I swear here? I’m going to swear. Fucking terrorists.

Please allow me to offer the following: LOTOCOTI (laughing on the outside, crying on the inside).
Usually, though, I avoid using any abbreviation-type stuff whilst emailing - except OMG (which reminds me of OMD, but I digress), choosing instead to emphasize the entire contents of my email messages by closing with “Word.”
