Four Hour, Podcast, Four Hour
November 8th, 2006

AT&T calls “Morris” to re-establish service for his business, unaware that I am neither Morris or that I have just decided that Morris owns a frozen yogurt shop called the “Fro-Yo Shack.” And when the classic Who’s On First bit devolves into a phone call about their “four hour phone plan” — hilarity ensues.

My eyes are watering from not trying to laugh out loud at my desk. I love how you had her spell out h-o-u-r and she didn’t even realize it.
I so needed this today. Thanks!

Merel - That’s weird, it’s just an ‘ol MP3. Maybe your computer is being controlled by the AT&T overlords?

When are these people going to put you on THEIR “Do Not Call List?”

I listened to this in my apartment with the speakers plugged in and volume up loud. I didn’t know what to expect, to tell you the truth, but OH MAN. I have to tell you, I collapsed on the floor laughing as soon as you went over the spelling of her name. That was for real?!
How did you end it?!

Lynn - I wish I knew. I seemingly get more and more calls with each podcast I record. Maybe the word’s getting out that a call to Pauly D is a recipe for eviscerating boredom at a call center.
Gina - Totally 100% for real. The call was more like ten full minutes but I cut the last half off in which we talked more about frozen yogurt, making calls to the Cayman Islands and then talking to her superior about getting prices on non-dial tone phone services.

For Our Fro-Yo Shack.
Gzzz.. Pauly, sorry I talked on the phone so much. The things I make you go through.
Technically speaking, a hot dog stand, is a free-standing structure. I went to college for this sort of this. Trust me.

In a way, I have a little more respect for AT&T now. Not enough to re-establish service with them, mind you.

The at&t bot-lady sounds clever until she gets numb and cant play along — towards the end. Nice piece. Peace at patnox.com
