Today’s Overheard Conversation Including A Man, An Extremely Warped and Melted CD Jewel Case and a Tower Records Employee
July 8th, 2006

[A man at the front counter of Tower Records holds an extremely warped and melted CD jewel case.]
Man: “I’d like to exchange this faulty CD for a new one. Here’s my receipt that proves I bought it here.”
Store Manager: “Sir, we would have never sold you a CD that looked like this.”
Man: “But…you did. See? Look. Here’s my receipt.”
Store Manager: “Sir. This CD looks like you left it in your car and it melted.”
Man: “No. That didn’t happen.”
Store Manager: “Sir.”
Man: “Look at this CD. Do you see the crack here in the case? This is a faulty CD.”
Store Manager: “Sir, if I was to put a key in a lock, turn the key, and broke the key in the process, I wouldn’t sue the key manufacturer for the damage.”
Man: “But this CD is faulty.”
Store Manager: “Let me put it to you this way. If you left your dog in your car in the hot sun and it died, you couldn’t return it to the breeder and tell him he sold you a faulty dog.”
Man: “So you’re not going to exchange this CD for a new one?”
Store Manager: “No, sir. I’m not.”
Man: “This is totally ridiculous.”
Store Manager: “Yes, sir. It is.”

Haha. Makes me laugh.
Like the picture as well, very good for imagination purposes.

“Pauly D: Guy behind the guy… eavesdropping.” I think you should put that on your business cards.
