Welcome to the premiere edition of WFME’s Bad Job Wednesday.
Were you aware that over 55% of people in the United States hate their jobs? Were you aware that they wake up in the morning and think to themselves, “Good god, not another day of this crap!”? Were you aware that when they’re at their job during the day, they often think about things other than their crappy jobs which just makes them even more hateful about their current job situations?
Were you aware that, today, we’re going to join in on the fun?
Let the games begin.
The May 1st issue of Sports Illustrated hits stands tomorrow, and includes a mention about The Lost Blogs in their Scorecard section.
And now I’d like to take this opportunity (and all this extra space which I never have) to let everybody know that if you’ve never tried a cream cheese and jelly sandwich, to definitely go home right now and make one on white bread of some kind. Okay, thanks.
The world really has changed, my friends.
Back in the 1950’s there was a lot of craziness going on. There were people stuffing themselves into phone booths, Volkswagen cars and there were even fraternity pledges eating goldfish. In the 60’s there were people embracing free love and chemcially-enhanced drugs and in the 70’s and 80’s there were people swallowing balloons filled with heroin and taking planes from South America back into the states.
But today? You can’t even get someone to eat a stick of butter.
What’s happened to the daring people of the world, I wonder almost daily? What’s happened to the fly-by-the-seat of their pants, daredevils? Sure, there’s a few people out there doing crazy stuff, but on the whole, there’s just not enough people, per capita, keeping the wonder alive here in the States.
People keep searching for “housewarming sayings” on my blog.
I have no idea why there are so many people having housewarming events and I have no idea why there are so many people agreeing to attend these “housewarming parties” and even if I can get past those facts, I still have no idea why all these people attending all these events have no idea what to say when they get there.
So, I thought I’d step up and do a two-for-Monday here with a double-posting and give these desperate souls a little help for their upcoming housewarming events.
Just over a year ago, I sold my second book to Warner Books.
And now, just two weeks out from the official release of The Lost Blogs I find myself much more educated about the process of releasing a book than I was in the beginning, when I started this blog with the intent of tracking the process of a book from release and following it all the way through.
At least this time, with my OCD for having to post each day fully in effect, I don’t think that will be a problem.
