This is the most ridiculous blog post/thread i’ve ever read. I’ve worked at both Abercrombie and now Hollister, and i’m going to tell you, you obviously have no idea that this place is a store. Is there any store in a mall that doesnt have a catch -trying to pry the public into their hands? No… every single store wants you to shop there. Abercrombie and Hollister just happen to be big CEO companies that can afford to expand off themselves, create models and a certain vibe that gives off the stores energy. It’s clear you’ve never even stepped foot in a store. The reason i work there? I like music, im a teenager (and don’t even try to tell me my generation is way off worse than your acid-tripped disco days), -my co-workers are very friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience at the store. The models are the image, to attract consumers. How do you suppose we’ll get people to buy apparel if it doesn’t look good on someone?
Honestly next time consult an actual employee at the store if you so desperately want to be inside “this brainwashing world”… at least im being educated rather than spending an insane amount of time on my ass creating bullshit.

ok so lets get some things straight. i happen to work at abercrombie AND im hispanic. im NOT stuck up, cruel, rude, or any of the above. and as a matter of fact i cant think of a single person i work with that is. i cannot believe that some people think that about us. Abercrombie is a lifestyle that promotes natural beauty and self confidence. yeah the brand may be expensive but there is a price for casual luxury.
all i want to say is dont bash us or the brand.
you have no reason to what so ever.
obviously ignorant people will see and think what they want. but its wrong to judge people just for the clothes that they wear or where they work.

this is rediculous! I work as a floor model at A&F. I was shopping one day in the store and the manager approached me and asked if i wanted to work there, within a week i was. I’m not stuck up, nor rude to anyone. I like the clothes, but i don’t buy the shirts with abercrombie plastered across the front. I think it’s wrong of all of these people to bash workers/ buyers of A&F and talk about how they’re all so rude and stuck on them selves when you are placing judgement on people you don’t know. Anyone who says appearance isn’t important is a liar. A&F tries to concentrate on a natural look for it’s employees, if someone works there and is naturally pretty there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a choice, no one is forcing you to walk in the store, if you have a problem walk right on by.

I have been spending the last hour reading all this stuff about how people hate Abercrombie and how some people love it. I personally do think the prices are high but i think the clothing quality is good. And adding on to the whole “only rich people shop there “and how “all the people who work there are snobby” I know alot of people that work there and they happen to be very good friends of mine. They are not snobby in anyway and none of us are rich! To shop there you just have to know how to limit the amout you buy. Like if you LOVE pair of jeans that are 56.50 then save up and buy them later. Or buy ssomething else. There is also a thing called CLEARENCE. That is were i get the clothes that I buy. Some shirts can be as cheap as 5 dollars and some pants can be 20 or 30. Trust me… I’ve bought them.

Alright, let me set the record straight here… I work for Abercrombie & Fitch’s Home Office, and yes, walking around the “campus” as some would call it, is a rather weird experience. This is largely due to the fact that pretty much everyone is dressed head to toe in A&F. We get it DISCOUNTED, and HAVE to fit “THE LOOK” to work there so it only makes sense to go the cheaper route.

As for the store models being rude? I don’t know, I’ve been to a load of retail stores in general that feature grumpy-ass employees. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a fastfood or a CEO (hmm, I would have thought with all that money Jeffries would find a better surgeon!), people are going to have bad days and use strangers as an outlet.

Finally, don’t listen to what the angry A&F lovers are saying, and don’t take the other side to heart either. It’s CLOTHING. Indeed, A&F has their whole “lifestyle” marketing concept, but as citizens of this country, clothing is a requirement unless one would like to adhere to a nice little public nudity charge. Hell, I don’t even wear Abercrombie that much, I prefer Hurley clothes, or crazy t-shirts from thrift stores.

I see your point but not all of this is true

I work at abercombie in florida and I am NOT white, rich, and snobby. In fact, NO ONE in our store is. I am half asian and there are a lot of other races including like 12 spanish exchange students.
White workers are actually the minority in our store haha..

just showing that the people who work there are normal!
we just like working there and enjoying each other’s company. I think its the young awkward kids that are displaying the snobby side…not the company, store, or its workers.
