Colorful Words
February 16th, 2006
Apparently, today is the day everything I’ve ever written hits the stands.
Such is also the case for the March/April edition of the ever-so-quirky mental_floss magazine. This month it features a 10-pager by me entitled Scatterbrained: Colors. In it, I write about everything from yellow journalism to white noise to the history of crayons that were removed from your favorite 64-pack and the color “maroon-ed” (movies about being stranded on a desert island). You can find it at your favorite newsstand or local bookstore.
So get it or do what you normally do which involves eating a muffin while perusing the magazine and then putting it back on the shelf all oily and crap.
EVERYWHERE.

I looked for it at my local B&N yesterday and did not see it. Looks like I need to take some advice from David Paulson and write them a nasty letter.

I kind of wish you had written the article on How Gas Prices Work, because I’d really like your take on that, but I think the Scatterbrained one sounds like a close second.

Kevin - Yeah, you can find it at Borders, B&N, newsstands and via online. If you like learnin’, history, humor of The Onion and ME, then you’ll enjoy it.

We actually SUBSCRIBE to this magazine. Can you believe it? Alex will read it first, and then quiz me on trivia from the magazine, acting like it was all stuff he knew all along. But you’re right, it is great fun every time! We wish it were a monthly.
