The whole concept of blogging is about being an ASW. Everyone who writes a blog is an ASW.

In the olden days (ah, memories) people used to write private diaries and were quite protective about them. But the ASW’s of the cyber age are so different.

Some Blogging related attention whores:

The “I post comments on other people’s blogs to attract attention to ME” attention whore!

(Not like I’d do anything like that but I did find this blog using this technique )

The “I don’t really believe what I’m saying, but it is controversial and will attract attention” whore!

(Not that any posting on this blog rate in that blogsphere!)

The “My photos are in black and white and arty-farty style” attention seeking whore!

(I’ve been known to have some recent shots done in black and white but at least the crop tool didn’t remove most of my face )

I will feel hurt if anyone thinks I’m any kind of attention whore… I’ll throw the toys out of the pram and cry and cry until everyone makes me feel better (whore).

I dig on your sarcasm. I’ll agree with everyone else here that bloggers are attention whores, but hell I think anyone that puts anything personal out there is an attention whore to some degree.

I’ve always considered myself a “subtle” attention whore. That’s why I like Pauly’s site so much. I love learning more about his TV show and book deal. Of course, little ‘ol me has nothing really going on. Sure, I write a blog, but Pauly’s posts are always so much better than mine. I’m sure you’re all “blogged” out from reading Pauly’s amazing new post (do they get any better?), so I doubt you really want to take a look at my crummy blog. Pauly, you are my hero! I’m like a nobody compared to you. That’s why I’m sure that none of your readers are going to come to my blog today. But, you know, if one of you has nothing else to do this afternoon — take a little peek, even if it is for a few seconds or so, just so I can look at the stats later and say, “Hey, I may not be Pauly, but at least I got a few of his readers to hit on my site for a few seconds.” Thanks.
