I know what you’re feeling.
You don’t have the time to read. You barely have time to read magazines or watch Entertainment Tonight. You hear about all these books hitting the New York Times best-seller list and you think to yourself, "Man, I would really love to be more literate. I would really love to be able to discuss books like an intelligent word-smith. I would really love to be referred to, in my close circle of friends, as the book-meister master."
And then, you think about Books on Tape.
The problem, of course, stems from the fact that books on tape are expensive. You’ll have to drop a good $25-50 bucks just to pick one up. But what if… What if I was your personal books-on-tape service?

Aaah, Friday.
Don’t you just love it when people say, “Aaah, Friday”? I prefer it when people say, “Oh boy, Friday” or “Tee Hee, Friday” or “Oh You Know It, Friday!” but I’m happy either way because it means one very important (yet not so important) thing: Words For Your Enjoyment!
This week’s submission idea comes from Justin who says simply, “Guys and pink shirts. Discuss.”
Hoo boy. Justin has hit on something very emotionally scarring. So scarring, that instead of actually vocalizing my real thoughts about such a subject, I would instead like to present you a haiku that communicates just how I feel. I encourage you, in the comments, to share your own thoughts about pink shirts in a haiku form as well. (For those who don’t know, haikus have three lines — the first line has 5 syllables, then 7 syllables, then 5 syllables.)

Believe it or not, no matter what you think you know…your boss hates you.
He/she hates the way you come in on time, all cheery and such. They can’t stand the way you get your work done on time. The thoroughness. The attention to detail. The good-natured attitude when they give you even more work to do. All they can think as they watch you go about your day is that it must stop.
But their hands are tied.

Hitting stands right about now is the May issue of Wired Magazine featuring George Lucas on the cover. Inside, yours truly has a one-pager all about the upcoming April 29th release of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy: The Movie.
The piece, which addresses how fans of the book are “panicking” that the movie won’t live up to Douglas Adams’ literary vision breaks down what’s changed and what’s remained the same between the book and the movie.
