OMG, I THOUGHT I was ok with remembering numbers. But now Im totally confused. I just remember them outright. I dont try to sing them or group them to help with my memory. Now when I go to remember them naturally I will think of you and try to make up a song – which will make me forget my numbers THANKS A LOT!!!!

That’s what my wife does to me. Throws telephone numbers at me like I have nothing else to remember. That’s what paper is for people!

This makes me glad I live in a small town. Every single phone number in this town starts with the same three numbers!

It’s not the numbers I have trouble remembering. Usually I hang up saying, eight-six-two, two-nine-four-six over and over again. But by the time I dial the number, listen to three rings followed by a, “Hello?” I just lose it. I forget who I was calling in the first place.

I can remember a phone number with no problem if I have a very strong association for the number. For instance, when my yet to be ex-husband gave me his number, I had that thing memorized right off the bat! I didn’t even have to repeat it. It was just there in my head the next day when I when I gave him a ring to see how he was doing after his previous evening of excessive drinking. Lesson learned, perhaps that was one number I should have forgotten. lol

lol! very funny. I think everyone’s phone number should be a word. Wouldn’t that be so much easier to remember? THERE’S ALREADY LETTERS ON THE KEYPAD, SO WHY NOT!!!
