Toe Length (Or You Got Freaky Long Toes, Girlfriend!)

What does it mean when someone’s second toe is longer than their big toe?

I’ve been out and about this past weekend doing extensive research on this subject and can confidently say that there are a huge percentage of people out there whose second toes (and sometimes their second and third toes) are a tad longer than their big toes. When they flatten out their feet and toes, it’s just weird looking. I mean, aren’t toes supposed to get exponentially smaller as you go down to the baby/pinky toe?

I think so.

Now I’m not saying I have beautiful, perfect toes or anything like that… And some people might immediately come out and tell me that I don’t simply based on the fact that at one point I mentioned picking up jelly beans inbetween my toes (no links here, I prefer to keep it hidden)… But my toes seem to be ok. No gnarly extra long toes or anything.

So then I started to think about this even more (it was a slow weekend) and wonder if just like how people mention if your feet are big you must be well-endowed, or if your ear lobes are not attached you’re some brainiac or how if you stutter while you speak you’re, well, supposed to someday be elected into a very high political office…

Is there something about having an extra long second toe (next to your big toe) that coincidentally means something else about your persona?

Could having an extra long second toe mean you are faster on your feet? A better long-distance runner? A more fluid swimmer? People have said that the reason for the pinky toe was to help people swim faster. Well, could the extra long second toe have something to do with that? Or maybe, just maybe, does an extra long second toe allow you to jump higher? Does it mean that, possibly, you will someday be a shoe model for weird extra long shoes?

What does it mean? I’m not sure. But I do know that if people are having their pinky toe chopped off to get their feet into small, exquisite high heels… then how many people are having their extra long freaky second toes shortened to match the rest of their pedal-digits? It could be happening all around us and no one would ever know because feet and toes are almost always hidden in darkness and cotton and nylon.

There’s something sinister going on out there and I felt you all should be aware of it.

In other news, I am not obsessed with feet.

Hi, I stepped into this site because I was looking for the actual meaning of the long 2nd toe. I actually have longer 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, toes. Even though, I love shoes (naturally), I would keep from wearing anything that would show off my toes. Until I met the guy who actually said that he liked them. I figured he was pretending since we have just started our relationship. I’ve been reading many of the entries and realize that first of all, I’m not the only one with this dilemma and that many people out there actually like feet like mine. I’m not the type to do or dress for others, but I can’t deny that I felt really uncomfortable showing my feet.

I had been told by that people with long 2nd, etc. toes were, poised or intelligent, aggressive, good in bed, stubborn and the head of the house. I was also told that at some point back in time, women who had feet like these were killed because they were acused of being witches.

All I can say is I’ll take them all, especially stubborn!!! Thank you for the boost of confidence. From what I have read here, not only are my feet actually normal, but they mostly speak very highly of me. I’ll just let my feet do the talking. I’m going out for a pedicure! Wooohoo!!

Hello Mayra. Your feet sound dreamy, especially with the longer 4th toes, which are extremely rare and very beautiful to me. It would be wonderful to see your gorgeous feet. Could you please send me a picture of them to I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for considering my request.

Elongated 2nd toes gross me out. It’s not normal. Toes are supposed to get smaller from the big toe on down. There is nothing sexy or attractive about long 2nd toes. Yuck.

Hey Mayra….I am in the same boat. I have longer 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toe. I absolutely love my feet and I am proud of them. I get more comments about my feet everyday. I don’t hide them, I wear open toed shoes almost every day. I think short stubby toes are ugly. I now can’t imagine having “normal” feet. They are a great conversation starter and all of the hidden meanings don’t sound bad to me. Don’t let them get you down, show them off!!!!

Okay Melissa, talk to me sweetheart. You have me drooling over here. Rarely does a man find a woman who not only has gorgeous feet, but who knows it and proudly shows them off. I love that, and it says a lot of good things about your character. Anyway, it would be an honor and a privilege to make your acquaintance. Never hurts to make another friend, you know? I would love to hear from you sometime, just to chat about your gorgeous toes, or anything else. Take care.

For the record, i think people whose second toe is longer than their big toes are ……. ‘freaks’, i mean this is real ET stuff. my toes maybe fat and short, however they do get smaller as we progress to the pinky.

My girlfreind who has long toes reckons that long toes are sexy and means she has special powers.

anyway got to toe now – bye

My little sister teased me mercilessly
    About my long second toe
Never before had it distressed me
I’d ‘nere even noticed it grow

Suddenly my long toes were a worry
I flung dainty sandals on the ground
She tried to placate and say sorry
But my hang up just hung around

    Only neat even toes everywhere
Vexed by hot covered foot desperation
My long digits, would people stare?
    Would I suffer elongated alienation?

I googled ‘long second toes’ last night
It took 1.3 seconds to load and scan
Thank Athena for ‘Paul Davies’s site
And at least I’m not a Big Toad Woman

My phalanges no longer send me round the bend
Cause I got sexy ‘Freaky Long Toes Girlfriend’

Wow. This blog is a trip. Anyway, I’ve never really thought about a girl’s toe length until after reading this. And now that I think about it, I like girls with long toes–in fact, I prefer them over their stubby-toed counterparts. Long toes to me are a physical trait of beauty and femeninity. All the guys I know that think long toes are disgusting are the ones with shorter toes. Hmmm…coincedence? I really don’t see what the big deal is; most people in the world have longer second toes…but we’re being persecuted by a minority saying that we’re “freaks” or “not normal”. What if maybe (just maybe), THEY’RE the freakshow? Just think about it.

Wow. 162 comments, all having to do with toes. This is just too funny.

The toe next to the big toe is the toe of sensuality. The longer the toe, the more sensual is the woman.
I have discovered from relations with over 2000 women.

Well I must say reading the above was very interesting. To tell you the the truth, my 2nd toe is longer than my Big toe. I used to get picked on in High School from friends because of it. But ever since I graduated, I have been complimented on them A lot. I live on the Jersey shore and we get tourists during the summer. My boyfriend loves to pick on me about them, but I just bust back at him on his pinky toe… it is attached lower on the foot… looks a little apeish! LOL But also, I read above that having the longer 2nd toe means royalty… well, back in my family tree, one of my ancestors slept with the king of russia (story of anestasia) and there was a child who was born…. Wow! That would be great if that was a fact! I’d be royalty!

Wow! This is perhaps the first space I’ve seen where people just talkin’ toes are exchanging notes with foot-people (fetishists, whatever). I wonder if a person’s relationship with his/her own feet is at the root of a foot-fetish. Anyway, I have always been enormously excited by women’s long, slender toes – especially when they are picking up objects with them, or using them like fingers to do things. Longer second toes are usually useful in the prehensile grip with the big toe. Oddly, even if a woman’s feet are a little knarly and knobby, as long as that second toe is longer and real toe dexterity is being shown, I’m riveted (a big gap between the first two toes is also a huge plus). Myself, I have short stubby toes, with a big gap, but I’ve always used my feet as an extra set of hands.

A three year thread on toes. My two cents: The longer toes, especially the second, third and a long fourth (the really long fourth is hard to find) are preferable. But, if they can not be spread, it takes something away. Length plus the ability to spread the toes is hard to beat. Unfortunately, not many girls go around showing their spreading toe ability (and why would they?).
